Applications are invited for the following Post for Urdu University at Karachi Campus:
Assistant Professor (BPS-19)
Computer Science, Physics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, International Relations, Psychology, Chemistry.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution (Experience not necessary).
- MS (Foreign) / M.Phil. (Pakistan) / MS (Pakistan 18 years degree) with at least 4 years of teaching / research experience in a recognized university or post graduate institution OR equivalent professional experience in the relevant field in National or International organizations.
- Tenure Track: Eligibility is as per HEC Criteria
Note:
- Ph.D.thesis of the local degree holders must have been evaluated by two foreign experts as per HEC guidelines for award of Ph. D. degree, in case foreign evaluation evaluation was not done then the candidates must provide evidence of two publications in journals recognized by the HEC.
- Test will be conducted for all Non Teaching vacancies.
- Only short listed candidates shall be called for interview.
Conditions:
- Applications are required to be submitted on prescribe form available at the Registrar Office Karachi with all relevant Documents, Degree, Domicile, Experience Certificates, N.I.C Photostat, two recent photographs, along with a Pay Order of Rs. 500/- in favour of Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology.
- Candidates already in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous organization in Pakistan must apply through proper channel.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for interview, no T.A /D.A is allowed.
- The number of post shall be considered according to the available positions at the time of selection.
- The University reserves the rights not to fill / withdraw any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason. No Candidate shall have the right to legal action whatsoever.
- Last date of submission of application is April 20, 2011.

- The conditions for Non-Teaching Post may be relaxed in case of highly suitable confirmed internal candidates.
